Collaborative software
Working together
There are 3 methods of person-to-person interactions: conversational, transactional and collaborative.
If you care to make the correct choice about your software technology, you have to understand the differences that exist between those interactions.
An interaction of conversation is an exchange of information and transactional interaction is transfer of a transaction substance between two or more participants, while collaborative interaction is employed for a modification of a collaboration entity, for example: achievement of a shared goal.
Interactions of collaboration are organized in such a way that the main purpose of the participants is to modify the collaboration entity from what used to be non-secured and intangible, for instance, an idea, into something useful, for example a design solution.
Collaborative software belongs to groupware applications that allow people share information and work together on various tasks.
The power of these solutions lies in the ability to allow team members to see action plans, share documents, be updated on projects, supervise schedules, automate business processes, be promptly notified of any tasks and events they are involved in. There are a lot of ways in which this software can be very useful: moderating activities, documents and projects, optimizing business processes and harmonizing work of several departments or even firms.
